ARTIST BIO: Emil Guillermo is an award-winning journalist and writer (American Book Award, NPR "All Things Considered) who has chronicled the Asian American community for the last 25 years. He's taken to the stage since 2017 to tell stories about Asian American life at Fringe Festivals around the country (Orlando, San Diego, Wash. DC, Baltimore, San Francisco). Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he has studied performance at the Marsh and the Berkeley Rep. Besides solo theater, he does standup and spoken word as the "standup meditator."
