Announcing the 2023 Great Salt Lake Fringe

Friends, we are excited to officially announce the 2023 Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival. Mark your calendars now for July 28 - August 6.

After five amazing years at The Gateway, and eight years since our beginnings in Sugar House, this year's Fringe has a new home at the Alliance Theater at Trolley Square, a fantastic venue of the Utah Arts Alliance.

The 2023 Fringe will be a smaller festival than in our most recent years as we look forward to the future and build our team to carry us through many more years as Utah’s forge for independent theatre. We are planning for 18 performing arts groups, and as always, we look forward to presenting a varied, eclectic, and artistically excellent mix of performing arts over two weekends. We may open additional slots as interest and venue availability allow.

Our 2023 artist application will open Monday, May 8 and remain open until Friday, May 26 or all slots are filled, whichever comes first. As usual, our artist application will be first-come, first-served. Until the application opens, artists can check out the application questions ahead of time to prepare.

We will soon be recruiting additional Fringe team members and volunteers, and we hope you’ll join us for a fantastic Great Salt Lake Fringe at the Alliance Theater this summer!
