SYNOPSIS: In 1957, Soviet scientists sent the first living thing into outer space: a stray dog. Inspired by true events, MUTTNIK is an award-winning “one dog show” about purpose, life and death all told from the perspective of a Russian pooch. Winner of Orlando Fringe 2018 Critic's Choice - Best Solo Show (Drama) and the Kansas City Fringe 2019 Fringe Crush award as the most beloved show at the festival. MUTTNIK is written and performed by Orlando artist Bruce Ryan Costella.

ARTIST BIO: BC Theatricals is the brain child of Bruce Ryan Costella, an Orlando based creative. Costella's work as a solo theatre artist explores space making, storytelling and the subversion of historical events through queer sensibilities. Previous work includes the Soviet space dog centric MUTTNIK, his Bob Ross inspired psychological thriller Unhappy Accident and his queer horror anthology-cabaret, Spooky & Gay.
